Allerton Castle is a Grade I listed nineteenth century Victorian gothic house.
Steeped with history from the 18th century, this iconic stately home is owned by the premier Baron of England, Lord Mowbray, Segrave and Stourton and Prince Frederick (the ‘Grand Old Duke of York’ and brother to King George IV).
Allerton Castle is preserved by the Gerald Arthur Rolph Foundation for Historic Preservation and Education for you and world heritage.

Directions
From the A1M Junction 47 exit, drive towards York then take an immediate left turn towards the A168. Turn right towards Boroughbridge and drive along the estate wall for almost half a mile. Turn right through the gateway marked Allerton Castle. Continue along the driveway towards Allerton Castle and follow the signs for parking.
Please note that we operate a one-way traffic flow. You will exit South towards the A59 turning right to return to the A1M or left towards York.
