Edward Bulmer Paints – Introducing The Chatsworth Collection

Introducing The Chatsworth Collection, a palette of 24 exquisite new paint colours; developed in collaboration with Chatsworth, this collection draws on the house’s remarkable relationship with colour, light and landscape. Inspired by historic interiors and the natural materials found throughout the estate, Edward Bulmer has poured these influences into twenty-four new colours, each with its own character, yet designed to work effortlessly in decorative schemes for all styles of houses and projects. Crafted as a collection each colour shares a tonal relationship with one another as well as the wider Edward Bulmer Natural Paint range. The collection has been created with a shared deep respect for the past but with a conscience for the future and both people and planet.
“Chatsworth is one of those fabled places – I have admired it since I first fell in love with the whole notion of the ‘English country house’ and I still see it as the supreme example of this country’s great family homes.
Though a million people come to Chatsworth every year, it is still a home, with domestic and public spaces presented in novel and intriguing ways. Colour abounds here – in rare and precious survivals, in memories and evocations: there are colours in all sorts of materials, in works of art and in the ‘everyday’ life of those who live and work at Chatsworth.” Edward Bulmer
“I first was made aware of Edward’s paints in 2020 when our building manager at Chatsworth brought them to me. He was interested in how sustainable and breathable they were and how well they could work in our historic buildings, not to mention the luminous chalky finish. In caring for our buildings, he understood the value and importance of the paint choices we make, and this was a turning point for me. I became a convert to Edward’s products. Working and living at Chatsworth, I seemed to have an ever-growing list of places to paint, in the holiday cottages, hotels, and the house.” Laura Burlington
